Overview
The Saudi Otorhinolaryngology Society (SORL) is committed to community service through public awareness campaigns, free screenings, awareness publications and media, and educational outreach — reflecting the Society's mission to promote health awareness and early prevention of ENT disorders.
Featured Community Initiatives
1. "Aware Ear" Campaign (World Ear Care Day) — A four-day (10–13 February 2026) awareness and field hearing-screening campaign targeting primary-school children (grades 1–3) and the wider community, run at Riyadh Manarat Schools and Sahari Mall, Riyadh. The campaign delivered interactive awareness sessions, hearing screenings for 364 students, and community education on early detection of hearing problems.
2. Annual Cochlear Implant Recipients' Gathering (12 February 2026) — A community event held in partnership with the King Abdullah Ear Specialist Center at King Khalid University Hospital, under the theme "#WeHear_WeDream_WeAchieve," featuring multiple service and awareness corners (Society introduction, social services, disability-employment support "Sa'ie", cochlear-surgery services, and health education), plus recognition of 2026 auditory-verbal rehabilitation graduates.
3. "My Gland Is Swollen... What's the Solution?" Campaign — A lymph-node-swelling awareness campaign led by the ENT Interest Group of medical students at King Saud University College of Medicine (with the Medicine Club), supervised by Dr. Mohammed Al-Eissa. Run in two phases: 12–14 November 2025 at King Abdulaziz University Hospital and Riverwalk Mall, extended in February 2026 at the same hospital.
4. "Your Nasal Sinuses" Campaign — A sinus-health awareness campaign led by the ENT Interest Group, covering sinus disease — symptoms, causes, and methods of prevention and treatment — supervised by Dr. Ahmad Alroqi. Held at "The Zone" on Friday, 19 June 2026.
